In-depth discussions on ´Life and Fire Safety Codes`
Architects are usually reluctant to attend calls from Sales personnel, as routine sales calls take too much of their time, but when it comes to seminars which are not sales focussed and rather discuss in-depth on important subjects like ' Life and Fire Safety Codes' , they welcome it whole heartedly.
This was proved well, in the seminars held in Riyadh ( Marriott – 60 people ) , Al Khobar ( Holiday Inn – 60 people from general architectural firms and 25 people exclusively from Aramco ) and Jeddah ( 120 attendees ).
The presentations were jointly done by George Philip, Head of DORMA's Project Management Team (PMT), Mohammed Nawarah Project Manager, KSA and Mahmoud Abdul Rahman, Project Executive, KSA with Jamal Shah, specifier, ably assisting them .
The seminars were arranged and organised by UBM, the authorised DORMA dealer for Door Controls in KSA.
The topics , covered were NFPA 101 Life and Fire Safety Codes and its application in designing and selecting the right hardware in projects, Problems in High Rises and Special tools in the industry to ease inspection of doors and hardware.
The sessions were highly interactive and proved beneficial to help designers understand codes in simple terms and assist them during the design stage of a project.
The response was phenomenal by the fact that DORMA's PMT department has been called for conducting the same seminars in house in various consultant's offices in the region.
