Single-Source Solutions from DORMA
Advanced technology and an all-encompassing design for truly integrated solutions – the Tego example
Modern building technology incorporates a wide range of different functions which, until now, have been performed by discrete components from the fields of door automation, door closer and release technology, time and access control, emergency exit and escape route control, fire protection and security. And DORMA is one of the few companies in the world able to offer the entire spectrum.
Now, at BAU 2005, this internationally active group is showcasing interconnectable system solutions with components fully matched to one another in terms of functionality and design. As fully networked systems, they not only ensure door safety and user convenience but also open up the possibility of implementing comprehensive problem solutions throughout the many facets of a project, thus enabling adjoining areas to be integrated and monitored within the greater whole, and also the general demands for safety, convenience and comfort to be more effectively satisfied. An all-encompassing, sophisticated design line also ensures harmonious aesthetic co-ordination of all the installed devices to enhance the overall ambience of the project architecture.
With its manufacturing, installation and servicing capabilities plus all the benefits of single-source supply, DORMA is able to offer comprehensive, future-aligned system solutions that – once again – set new standards in the industry.
In Munich, DORMA is showcasing this system competence with three prototype concepts from the new Tego range. Each of these is based on functionally and visually compatible integration of various components from the company’s divisions Automatic, Security, Door Control and DORMA-Glas in a variety of architectural environments.
With comprehensive system compatibility in terms of both engineering and styling guaranteed, competent advice and efficient installation can all be provided by one and the same supplier. This also enables problem-free retrofitting or modification as requirements change. And the system also allows low-cost all-encompassing maintenance and service activities to be performed by our team. Moreover, the various devices can be interfaced with the utmost ease to DCW bus and LON systems.
With many of the components integrated in door profiles, such as operator modules concealed in transom or header sections, both the mechanical fixing and electrical installation work has been rendered particularly easy.
This applies equally to all the other system components such as emergency exit controls, access control systems and even monitoring cameras or voice output modules, all of which can be incorporated within the frame profiles.
Specifiers and architects thus have at their fingertips the means to implement any required functional combination at affordable cost and in a visually and technically co-ordinated manner so that even complex door equipment can be provided on an easy-to-fix and simple-to-service basis.
DORMA offers the Tego system in three integration variants:
- The version created in co-operation with the post/rail construction specialist Forster (Hall B2 / Stand 303/402), in which both the electronic modules and the door operators are invisibly integrated in the frame and header sections.
- The Tego concept created in co-operation with the steel frame specialist BOS (Hall B2 / Stand 221/320), illustrating how all the functional elements from emergency exit and access controls and monitoring cameras to the complete DORMA CD 80, Kepler and Cassini operator family can be installed in a steel frame.
- The Tego system also facilitates the creation of sophisticatedly designed all-glass door solutions with access control, emergency exit technology and the CD 80 automatic swing door operator in the “New Soft” design. This system is combined with an all-glass column with integrated control elements at the access point.
